About Me

My name is Toby Matthew Davies and I have been living in Wanaka for the past four years and really enjoy the lifestyle here. I moved to Wanaka from Singapore where I was born and lived for 12 years. The lifestyle in Singapore is very different from that of Wanaka but I still enjoyed it the same as I do here. Moving from Singapore to Wanaka was a big change for me as I went from living in a huge, noisy and densely populated city to a small and reasonably quiet town. If I were to pick, I would say I prefer Wanaka. I really like how close everything is to me and how I can get more or less where ever I want independently. Having seasons is also a good change from the never-ending blisteringly hot days in Singapore. The seasons bring an interesting change in how I spend my free time whether it’s skiing in the winter or spending days at the lake during summer. Another thing I enjoy doing is playing Tennis with my friends. I like playing Tennis as you are able to play independently or with a partner giving it both an element of teamwork as well. There are many things that I like to do in Wanaka and those were a few of my favourites.
